Mindful Self-Compassion
A Key Element and Foundation for Emotional Healing

 In a competitive and overwhelming world like ours, many of us fall victim to judging, criticizing or comparing ourselves.  We move by rote rather than our own internal awareness, we are battering rather than self-accepting, harsh rather than forgiving.

Mindful Self-Compassion teaches you to be more aware and open to the present moment, giving yourself what you truly need. It’s like being given a big STOP button to old habits that hurt you, while learning to embrace a kinder way that genuinely supports you, and that lives in truth. ​Self-compassion allows you to be fully human. 
It provides you with emotional strength and resilience.  
And it can be learned by anyone, even those who didn’t receive enough affection in childhood or who feel uncomfortable when they are good to themselves.

Mindful Self-Compassion is an empirically-supported, 8-week, training program, designed to cultivate the skill of Self-Compassion.  Based on the groundbreaking research work of Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer,  MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with greater kindness and understanding.
 ​Rapidly expanding research demonstrates that Self-Compassion is strongly associated with emotional well-being, less anxiety, depression and stress, maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships.  And it’s easier than you think!
 
                                                               After participating in this workshop, you’ll be able to:

  • Practice self-compassion in daily life
  • Understand the empirically supported benefits of self-compassion
  • Motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism
  • Handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • Transform challenging relationships, old and new
  • Manage caregiver fatigue
  • Practice the art of savoring and self-appreciation

·        Short Talks
·        Experiential Exercises
·        Group Discussions
·        Meditation and Home practices
 
*MSC includes 8 weekly sessions of 2.5 hours each, a 4-hour retreat and materials to support practice.   
Course Fee:  $325.00 USD

*ALSO: Being offered NEW since the start of the pandemic and ONLINE ONLY is the MSC-SC which is an abbreviated version of the longer 8 week course consisting of 6 weekly sessions of 1.5 hours.  Pricing for this course is 200$.
